English Translation with Emotional Arc
In Gokulam, a woman was drawing water from a well. When the pot filled to the brim, she paused. She looked around, hoping someone would help lift it onto her head. The water was heavy, and so was the day.
Just then, she saw Lord Krishna walking nearby.
“Kṛṣṇa… Kṛṣṇa…” she called out with hope in her voice.
Krishna kept walking, as if he hadn’t heard her.
She felt confused. Why didn’t He respond?
Struggling, she somehow managed to lift the heavy pot onto her head by herself and slowly made her way home.
When she reached her doorstep, she stopped in surprise.
Krishna was already there. Waiting for her.
With a gentle smile He said, “Come, let me help you take that pot down.”
She stared at Him, puzzled.
“When I called you at the well, you didn’t come. Now, without me calling, you are here to help me? I don’t understand, Krishna…”
Krishna smiled — that knowing, compassionate smile.
“I am the One who removes burdens,” He said softly. “Placing them on you is not My work.”
And with that, He walked away.
